• Which is best laminate or vinyl?

• Vinyl flooring is extremely versatile and available in a variety of colors and styles. 
• Vinyl has a comfort under foot that you simply which isn’t available in other flooring types.
• Unlike Laminate flooring, Vinyl flooring is resistant to water, mildew and stains. Liquids stay on the surface and are easily wiped away, so spills are not a problem. 
• Cleaning vinyl is easy – Simply sweep, apply cleaning fluid and wipe with a clean white cloth. 
• It is also very durable and can handle medium to high traffic locations.
• Depending on the style you choose, there are simple click-and-lock installation methods that don’t require glue. There are also a few products that can be directly glued to the floor. 
• An added benefit to easy installation is the ability to replace a piece in the event there is any damage. Simply remove the damaged tile and replace with a new one.

• How thick is a commercial carpet?

Commercial-grade carpet tiles normally have a thickness of 0.25” with a maximum density of 10Ibs./cu ft. Milliken offers cushion-backed carpet tiles that are thick, durable and have a ‘Class 33 Heavy Commercial Use’ for Wear Performance.

• How Long Does Commercial Carpet Last In An Office?

If commercial carpet is properly maintained it should last between 10-30 years. This depends on initial carpet quality, foot traffic, as well as how well it is maintained, cleaned and any damage that occurs over the period. Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial to prolonging the life expectancy of the carpet.

  Yes we send our professional installation team to take the measurements of your site so that we can provide you with an exact quotation.

• Do you charge for installation? 

Yes we do charge separately for installation. Proper installation of your vinyl flooring is very important, our flooring installation team will give you the proper information you need to know to ensure the flooring is installed perfectly.

• What kind of flooring preparations do I need to make (subfloor)? 

• For vinyls of 2mm – 2.5mm thickness we require even flat surface.

• All subfloors should be clean, dry and free of dirt and all other extraneous materials that might interfere with the adhesive bond.

• Do you use adhesive? Is it safe? 

• Yes for Milliken we use a low odor modular tile adhesive.

• How do you install Milliken carpet tiles?

• What’s the best method for cleaning the floors once installed?

• Milliken Carpets: Milliken carpet is manufactured to cope with the most demanding of work environments and has an extended life span. However, like any contract carpet, it will begin to lose its original appearance unless it is properly maintained. • Gerflor Vinyls: vinyl flooring can be cleaned simply by either dry sweeping or mopping using a two-bucket system.

• How often should I clean my carpet?

1. • We recommend professional carpet cleaning every 12-18 months by a professional. Frequency of cleaning depends on the type and amount of traffic in the home but at least once every 24 months
